Mint was thrilled to be part of this year’s Collect – The International Art Fair for Contemporary Objects, for the first time!

Collect has been the leading event on the global crafts calendar – an essential, discipline-crossing showcase of modern creative expression for collectors, enthusiasts and practitioners alike. Returning to the Saatchi Gallery on 22–25 February 2018, this year Collect presented exceptional objects in ceramic, glass, jewellery, wood, metal, textiles and experimental materials, and represented the work of an astonishingly diverse array of makers from Britain and beyond. Invited by a distinguished panel of craft specialists, 40 worldwide galleries from four continents participated, presenting a selection of pioneering pieces. Additionally, this year a bigger enthuses was given to furniture design with the appearance of different galleries exhibiting for the first time.

Mint’s display proved one of the highlights of the fair, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from Collect visitors.

Thank you to those who visited Mint at Collect. Continue reading to discover the highlights from the fair…

An intimate documentary based on the experience of Italian-German design duo Andrea Zambelli and Nat Wilms during their 3-months Artist-in-Residence program in San Paulo, Brazil. An invitation by the gallery Firma Casa for an on-site solo show becomes the pretext for an introspective journey into Brazilian reality. What follows is a poetic vision that moves between a megalopolis rich in contrast and the atmosphere of a rustic carpenter workshop where the duo reveals the working process of their unique furnitures.

The video was nominated for one of best product design videos and will be shown at Milan Design Film Festival in October 2017.
