Designers Huda Baroudi and Maria Hibri cofounded Bokja a design and craft studio in Beirut, Lebanon in 2000. They revive regional textile practices by redefining them in a contemporary voice, specialising in a range of fields including clothing, furniture, and accessories. With a solid network of specialized artisans, Bokja serves as a curator of textile techniques and a gatherer of personal stories.
This collection commemorates the Lebanese Revolution by assembling moments and icons, depicting them on textile. The silk pieces are beautifully hand-made by a team of exceptionally talented craftsmen and women. The robes, dresses, and shirts are all designed for a fluid silhouette, enriched by voluminous pleats. These items are to be worn by the bold and the committed, in winter or in summer, disregarding norms of gender and trend.
