A Reflection on 2015 – September Show – Twisting Tradition

Twisting Tradition, for LDF2015, took Mint on a cultural journey to the most poetic corners of craft-orientated design. A selection of work, inspired by organic shapes, natural materials and traditional craftsmanship, revealed how contemporary designers interpret our world.
Mint collaborated with Industry Plus to present Nendo’s new collection ‘Tokyo Tribal’, and Nigel Coates’ ‘Paracastello Collection’ amongst a large number of emerging talents and established designers. Twisting Tradition showcased design from over 60 individuals and collectives who challenge conventional thinking with an imaginative approach to materials and techniques.
