Although spontaneity is important to the designers, they perform extensive research before getting down to work, and love exploring boundaries to create new methods and works.
For Reddish, each ceramic object was placed in liquid pigment. From that day, it paints itself, void of any human intervention.
The porosity of the material and the duration of the dye decide on the outcome. The colourant soaks into the material, draws a pattern and leaves traces. The process remains active for months.
What fantastic results!
