Ernesto Tatafiore

This month we are featuring works by Italian artist Ernesto Tatafiore.
Born in Naples in 1943, his work has been shown in over 100 solo exhibitions in major galleries in Europe, the USA and Japan.
His style is minimalist and poetic, strongly inspired by iconic symbols and ideas from history and heritage.
In the works currently showing at m i n t : Volcanoes represent the imminent release of repressed feelings (volcanoes feature frequently in his work with Vesuvius being in the vicinity of his residence) and the beautiful women represent our aspirations for perfection and our need to be desired and valued.
The paintings will be on show until mid September.
